Luis has leveraged his experience in petroleum engineering to contribute to his current role at Teroverda in the development of technologies that allow for the production of low-sulfur fuels from waste materials. His expertise in crude-oil production optimization was utilized by Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) from 1996 to 2019 where he acted as a consultant for various projects. Simultaneously, from 2010 onwards, he has worked for Arliftco, conducting pioneering research and devising new processes for cold cracking and desulphurization of crude oil and bitumen as well as bleaching and desulfurization processes for automotive-grade fuels, and SAF.
